This cake will make you wonder why you ever bought a German Chocolate Cake in a grocery store bakery. It is a wonderful, milk chocolate 3-layer buttermilk cake that is frosted on top and between the layers with a rich carmelized pecan and coconut frosting. This cake became very popular during the 1950's or 1960's and remains a favorite today. The 9" triple layer cake serves 12-16.
