This is a light, airy cake that has freshly grated lemon zest in it. We fill the layers with our own freshly made lemon curd made with hand-squeezed lemon juice, and then frost the entire outside with Swiss buttercream frosting that is lightly flavored with more lemon zest (or left plain and buttery if you prefer). This makes a beautiful special occasion cake as the one pictured here. We have also made this cake decorated with lemon slices, or even lemon gumdrops, but fresh daisies definitely shout "Summer!"
The price of $36 is for a 2-layer, 9" frosted cake with the house made lemon curd and Swiss buttercream frosting. Writing on the cake, fondant, bows and other add-ons are done at an additional charge. Please call to discuss what you want your cake to look llike.
